Scandyna Launches Two iPod Dock with Built-in Class-T Amplifier

Scandyna has recently released a pair of iPod Dock equipped with built-in amplifier. The $219 Dock and $249 V Dock systems for iPod look like standard unpowered docks housed in a compact unit, but unlike these docks Scandyna incorporated an high-efficiency 2x 15-watt Class-T amplifier (Tripath TA2024 chip), and added a video output at the V Dock.

Both docks are available in white or black and come with remote, separate output for a powered subwoofer, and 3.5mm aux input for other-brand MP3 players.

Canton DSS 303 Digital Sound Station for iPod

Canton has introduced the DSS 303 a desktop audio system designed specifically for Apple's iPod. It includes an integrated iPod dock and charger, FM/AM radio, clock with sleep and wake-up alarm functions, 50-watts stereo amplifier, and auxiliary input for a complete desktop audio solution for the bedroom, dorm room, or office.

The DSS 303 employs designed and manufactured loudspeakers by Canton, including 4-inch aluminum cone woofer and 1-inch dome tweeter mounted on-axis with the woofer for optimal transparency and imaging. It carries Apple's certification, and comes with a a credit-card sized remote and seven different adapters for nearly every iPod made that includes a docking connection as well as other digital audio players via the 3.5mm line-in connection.

The Canton DSS 303 has a suggested retail price of $499 and is available in high gloss white or black finish.

Klipsch CS-700 Home Theater System with Wireless Subwoofer

Klipsch will launch in May for $1,299.99 the CS-700 2.1-channel home theater system, bigger than the CS-500 and with a 200W wireless subwoofer. Each satellite employs dual magnetically shielded 3-inch woofers along with a 0.75-inch magnetically shielded tweeter and the subwoofer utilizes an 8-inch, down-firing woofer. The progressive scan DVD player has 1080i HDMI output, an AM/FM tuner and three auxiliary inputs, allowing users to connect other audio devices, such as an iPod.

The CS-700 also serves as a hub for wirelessly transmitting CD-quality audio to its subwoofer and other KlipschCast products such as the RoomGroove iPod speaker.

Roberts, the leading british manufacturer of radio is launching the Stream 202 (WM202) which combines an FM with RDS, DAB and internet radio through Wifi or Ethernet connectivity to receive over 7000 radio stations. There is an auxiliary input for hooking up your iPod/MP3 player, and two alarm timers so you can use it as a bedside clock radio. Also, the radio is able to run using 6x LR2 batteries instead of plug-in the AC adapter, so you can use the radio fully wireless.

The Roberts Stream 202 is priced at £149.99 and is available now in silver or black color.

Sagem launches its first internet radio clock in Europe, called the My Du@l Radio 700. The radio doesn't require a computer link to play one of 7000+ radios over internet, the device connects to internet by using WiFi (802.11 B/G) or Ethernet connectivity. In addition to internet radio, there is also an FM tuner with RDS support, a USB port to hook up USB devices for playing MP3/WVMA/WAV audio formats and a digital alarm clock with sleep and snooze functions.

The "My Du@l Radio 700" is available in UK for £79.99.

Other features include upconversion of analog sources to 1080i/p, Audyssey Dynamic EQ and all the standard inputs/outputs.

The TX-SA606X will goes on sale in April in Japan at a price of 84,000 yen in gold or silver finish.

Panasonic HTR110-K Corner TV Stand with Built-in 2.1ch Speaker System

The Panasonic HTR110-K system is the new entry-level model of their TV stands with integrated speakers. The HTR110-K is a corner TV stand, and the most compact of the series, it measures only 85x 44x 39cm, weighs about 32.5kg and can carry a TV up to 90kg. Hidden in the rack, there is a 2.1ch speaker setup with 2.6" fullrange drivers along with dual 5.1" woofers. Also it features two digital optical inputs, two analog inputs (RCA) and HDMI 1.1 with pass-through.

It will start shipping next month in Japan, but there is no word on pricing.
