T+A is launching the MP 1250, a high-quality audiophile D/A converter combined with a streaming client which provides the connection to all network sources (W-LAN, LAN, UPnP), iPOD and USB sources. Like the Music Player, the MP 1250 R can stream MP3, WMA, LPCM, WAV, FLAC, AAC and OGG-Vorbis music files from internet radio, network music servers (NAS), USB media storage devices and iPod. The D/A converter employs Burr-Brown chips with 0.001% THD and 109dB SNR.

Also the MP 1250 R can get an optional supplementary retro-fit circuit board containing an FM tuner and digital tuner will also become available as soon as the future formats are settled.

T+A is introducing a completely new series of electronic units featuring the latest, highly innovative technologies. The Music Player is not a computer it's a high-quality CD player with streaming capability from various interfaces such as W-LAN (Wifi 802.11/b/g), LAN (Ethernet 10/100), UPnP, iPod and USB. It can access everything which delivers MP3, WMA, LPCM, WAV, FLAC, AAC and OGG-Vorbis music: internet radio, network music servers and USB media storage devices, as well as VHF radio via the integrated tuner or via an optional DAB tuner.

The T+A Music Player employs 24-bit Sigma Delta, 8-time Oversampling D/A converter along with high-end circuitry delivering impressive results with an ultra low THD of 0.001% @ 2Hz - 20kHz and a SNR of 109dB.

The player is available in black or silver finish, but no word on pricing at this time.

Yamaha has recently introduced the YHT-195 5.1-channel home theater in a Box. The YHT-195 is now the cheaper model in the YHT series, it costs about $599 instead of $899 for the YHT-295. The system includes five speakers and an active subwoofer which deliver together up to 600W RMS, the receiver includes high-end features such as 1080p-compatible HDMI switching (2 in/1 out) with 1080p video pass through, 192kHz/24-bit DACs used in all channels, YPAO sound optimization for automatic speaker setup, CINEMA DSP, and four SCENE buttons.

The latest, Mvix MX-780HD 1080p media center features a state-of-the-art digital playback solution that brings all the media content from the PC or the built-in HDD to the living room. It can stream via Ethernet or 802.11b/g WiFi all commonly used media formats such as MPEG-1/2/4, VOB, WMV 9, DivX and Xvid video files as well as MP3, WMA, AAC, Ogg, WAV and AC3 music files. Also it includes a bunch of connectivity, including HDMI, composite, component, S-Video, coaxial, optical and 5.1 RCA output.

The Lisire 020 from Gais is a stylish cylinder-shaped 2.1ch speaker system made with aluminum cylinders. The Lisire 020 delivers 2.5W per satellite and 6W from the subwoofer which is 12-inch wide and it can connect to any stereo source with its 3.5mm stereo mini-jack input. JVC will introduce this month a new high-end model to its line of Bi-METAL in-ear canal headphones.
