McIntosh MC2301 Mono Tube Amplifier

The McInotsh MC2301 is a 300 watts mono-block tube amplifier using eight of the famous KT88 tubes along with a strong power supply design for a rock-stable power output into an 8, 4 or 2 ohm load. McIntosh claims to have reached a SNR 117dB with this fully balanced mono-block.

There is no word on pricing at this time but the MC2301 should be released in June.

McIntosh MA6600 Integrated Audio Amplifier

McIntosh will introduce next month their new MA6600, a 2x200W integrated amplifier which will replace the MA6900. It features eight inputs including one balanced (XLR), a two-line LCD screen and a socket for the TM2 AM/FM/HD tuner module, it will be the first device with the AP-1000 surround processor to accept the brand's first HD Radio tuner module.

Price is expected to be more than $5,000.

McIntosh MA7000 Stereo Integrated Amplifier

The new MA7000 stereo integrated amplifier is the largest and, at 250W per channel into 8, 4, and 2 ohms, the most powerful integrated amplifier McIntosh has ever offered.

It features an ultra-low distortion preamplifier section supports two balanced and four single-ended line-level inputs plus an ultra low-noise, high-gain phono stage that provides enough gain to accommodate medium to high-output MC cartridges in addition to MM cartridges. The amplifier includes two sets of switchable, balanced preamplifier outputs for easy system expansion. Also a 5-band equalizer on the front panel guarantees the range of adjustment necessary to extract the maximum sound quality from a wide variety of audio sources and software along with two wattmeters which provide visual recognition of amplifier status for an additional measure of protection.

The McIntosh MA7000 is currently available at a suggested retail price of $7000.

McIntosh introduces its first-ever producted turntable, called MT10. This luxury model priced at $8000 still features the typical design from McIntosh with its black front panel and its blue analog VU-meter.

With a massive black tone arm and cartridge custom-made by McIntosh, a copper edged cabinet and an oversized chrome plated tuning knobs, the MT10 harkens back to the classic days of vinyl, adding a hint of modernity and elegance to sheer high-fidelity excellence. A light green tinted platter that glows while in use compatible with 33, 45 and 78RPM disc is balanced to perfection, providing the ultimate in sonic fidelity and sensitivity. In addition a fully regulated power supply ensures ample regulated power at all times for constant speed rotation.
